Chapter 84 What, you want to remain chaste for Lyman?

Penelope was startled by the sudden situation, she instinctively took a big step back. As she looked up, she met Zackary's eyes, which were filled with a stormy intensity.

Penelope found him a bit strange. She had already delivered the items to him as promised, and she didn't seem to have upset him. She didn't understand why he was still so angry.

As if he owed her billions.

However, Penelope was not slow-witted, she quickly figured out that his sour expression was probably because she had interrupted his good time with Lola.

A sour feeling uncontrollably welled up in her heart, but she didn't want to argue with him. She took the initiative to lower her stance and apologized to him, "I'm sorry, Mr. Spencer, I might have come at an inappropriate time, disturbing you and Lola."

"I had already brought the stuff over, you and Lola enjoy yourselves, I'm heading back first."

Stuffing the items into Zackary's hands, Penelope turned around and quickly headed towards the staircase.

In fact, she had really pushed herself to come over and deliver things to Zackary tonight. By the time she returned to the Horse House apartment, she was already feeling so unwell that she could hardly stand.

Having just walked such a long distance, Penelope felt as if her bones were falling apart. She had to lean heavily against the corridor wall to barely keep herself upright.

Just after taking two steps, Penelope suddenly felt a sharp pain. She realized that she had been harshly thrown onto the floor of Zackary's room.

"Go back?" Zackary sneered, as sharp as a knife, "Go back to rush to Lyman? Penelope, how the hell are you so cheap!"

Penelope wanted to get up from the ground, but she was in so much pain that she didn't even have the strength to move.

Moreover, she had fallen hard just now. She felt that her back was bleeding profusely, sticking to her coat. The feeling was as uncomfortable as it could get.

After regaining her consciousness, she found Zackary particularly unreasonable again. But she didn't want to argue with him. She just spoke tiredly, "Mr. Spencer, the relationship between Mr. Hilliard and me is not as dirty as you think."

"I really wasn't feeling well tonight, and yet I delivered the things you asked for. Lola is still waiting for you. Please, don't make things difficult for me anymore!"

Penelope felt that with her attitude being so good, Zackary shouldn't have been pushing her so hard, especially with Lola waiting for him in bed.

Unexpectedly, after she finished speaking, his face turned even more unpleasant.

"Penelope, were you really hoping for me to be with Lola?!"

Penelope increasingly felt that Zackary was impossible to communicate with, but to avoid an argument, she still spoke up in a good-natured manner, "Mr. Spencer, you and Lola are a match made in heaven, both in talent and beauty. It's against nature for you two not to be together."

"Mr. Spencer, could I go back now?"

Penelope turned around, hoping that Lola in the nest could say something to attract Zackary. However, when she looked at the bed, she found it was empty, not even a shadow. Where was Lola!

Penelope looked around, but she couldn't find Lola anywhere. Even the bathroom was silent. Clearly, in the large room, it was just her and Zackary!

She felt that Zackary was really, really problematic. Lola wasn't even here, why did he want her to deliver this thing!

"Penelope, Lola was indeed better than you! Lola wasn't like you, cheap and promiscuous, utterly filthy!"

Even knowing how dirty Lola was, at that moment, Penelope couldn't be bothered to argue with Zackary. She just wanted to go along with him, to quickly leave this suffocating place.

"Mr. Spencer, you're right, Lola is the cleanest. The two of you clean people together, it's simply a match made in heaven! Mr. Spencer, Lola should be coming over soon, right? I won't be a third wheel here."

"Lola had just had a miscarriage, if I touched her now, it would harm her body."

Saying so, Zackary began to walk step by step towards Penelope.

Realizing what he meant by his words, Penelope's face turned pale instantly.

He was afraid that doing it with Lola would hurt her, so, was he going to do it with her tonight?!

Knowing full well that she shouldn't harbor any unrealistic hopes, but as she savored his words, Penelope couldn't help but feel her eyes well up with tears.

Lola had just had a miscarriage, in fact, it hadn't been long since her miscarriage.

He worried about damaging Lola's body. Didn't Penelope fear getting hurt, getting sick?

Yes, in his heart, Lola was a treasure, while Penelope was not even worth a blade of grass.

Suppressing the bitterness in her heart, Penelope subconsciously shrank her body, "Mr. Spencer, tonight, you can't touch me! I'm not lying to you, I'm hurt, I really feel very uncomfortable."

"What, you want to remain chaste for Lyman?!"

"Penelope, you were dreaming!"

In the midst of speaking, Zackary had already rudely torn off Penelope's coat.

The fabric inside her coat had already stuck to her back, and being ripped off so violently felt as if a layer of skin was being peeled off her body. Penelope was in such pain that her soul seemed to be trembling.

Penelope bit her lip hard, and the trembling of her body slightly subsided.

She knew, she was the chicken that Zackary had bought for a billion, she had no right to refuse him, but tonight, her body really couldn't satisfy him.

She collapsed on the ground like a puddle of mud, struggling to speak, "Mr. Spencer, you were right, I'm filthy, lowly, so please, don't touch me anymore!"

"I was so dirty, really dirty, even I thought I was dirty. Weren't you afraid that I would soil your noble body?!"

Penelope's resistance had already pushed Zackary to the brink of fury. Now, seeing her preserve her chastity for Lyman, even going so far as to call herself dirty, he completely lost his temper.

He violently grabbed Penelope's shoulders, his hands suddenly exerting force, and her body was harshly thrown onto the large bed in the room.

The collar of his shirt had been undone by him. Just as he was about to lean over her, he found that the little woman, who had previously been full of defiance, was lying motionlessly on the bed.

The coat Penelope was wearing was black, so even when it got stained with blood and Zackary had just ripped it off and thrown it on the ground, he didn't notice anything unusual. Now, with large patches of bright red spreading on the bed sheet beneath her, he realized that she was injured.

He abruptly flipped her body over, the fabric on her back had already been cut away by her. Upon seeing the shocking wound on her back, Zackary's pupils couldn't help but constrict.

"Penelope, tell me, what on earth happened!"

Zackary gripped Penelope's shoulders tightly, but no matter how hard he tried, she still lay limp on the bed, motionless.

She was so quiet, and so fragile, as if she had died.
