Chapter 366 Mr. Zackary Risked His Life for Penelope

Bexley secured the role of the third female lead in "Great General" for Penelope.

She had been told by Bexley that she had secured a role for her in a big-budget production, playing the third female lead. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be a blockbuster like "Great General".

Lola was the leading lady, Pennie the second, and they were both recently plagued by scandals in the entertainment industry. But the male actors of "Great General" were impressive!

Several of the male actors were top-tier in the entertainment industry, with the leading man being the super movie emperor, Kenneth, who was as influential as Isabella in the entertainment circle. Participating in such a big production, it would be hard for it not to be popular.

Penelope didn't want to see Lola and Pennie, but she hadn't done anything wrong. Was she supposed to hide all day?!

With that in mind, she went to the film crew with ease.

The key point was, the production team of "Great General" was extremely wealthy. She, as the third female lead, surprisingly had a remuneration of ten million. She would be a fool to give up this opportunity!

Moreover, it was very likely, her last performance before her death, she thought. Even if she died, she wanted to leave something behind in this world.

It must be said, Lola and Pennie, were really strong.

One had a car accident, the other lost two fingers, they didn't stay in the hospital for long, surprisingly, they both went to the film crew.

The role played by Lola was truly likable. She dressed as a man to fight enemies, stood by the male lead amidst the raging war, they supported each other, depended on each other in life and death, and fought for the future. In the end, she and the male lead together pacified the troubled times and protected the vast land.

The role played by Pennie was also quite good.

She was not the traditional villainous supporting female character, but rather the best friend of the female lead, an innocent and kind-hearted young girl.

She also had a love line, being the best friend of the male lead and a love-hate relationship. They met on the battlefield, grew together, and ultimately, became the indispensable contributors in helping the male and female leads conquer the world.

The role that Penelope played was actually the most vicious villainess.

She was the princess of the enemy nation, as well as its guardian general. She had a beautiful memory with the male lead, but her approach to him was merely to seize his military secrets. In the end, the male lead cut off all ties with her, deeply falling in love with the female lead who was full of righteousness.

After breaking up with the male lead, the third female character realized that she loved him so much that she couldn't extricate herself. However, the male lead had completely given up on her.

So, she went on to sabotage the relationship between the male and female leads, becoming the biggest villain in the drama.

To be honest, playing the villain really did ruin the audience's goodwill, but Penelope really liked the setting of the third female character.

She was very bad, bad to the point of being arrogant and domineering, bad without any disguise. Such a hearty and unrestrained badness was indeed much better than those white lotuses who boasted of goodness and justice all day long.

Moreover, no matter how wicked the third female character was, she was willing to protect her country and people with her life and blood. Even though the country was ultimately devastated, she still protected the last citizens in the city with her broken body.

She was so broken that it was heartbreaking.

The scene Penelope was to shoot today was the first encounter between the third female lead and the male protagonist. They were galloping on a vast prairie, falling in love at first sight.

Because the play had many horse riding scenes, Penelope specifically learned horse riding before the shooting started.

Her skills were not particularly impressive, but they were more than enough to handle the most basic shooting.

The crew had chosen a very gentle horse for Penelope. Penelope thought that the day's shooting would go smoothly. However, after she mounted the horse, the seemingly gentle and obedient brown horse, like a madman, let out a long howl and crazily ran towards a slope that was not part of the shooting area.

The crew members all turned pale, no one had expected that a perfectly fine horse would suddenly go mad.

However, the horse looked truly terrifying at that moment, and the staff didn't dare to step forward to stop it. After all, no one wanted to be kicked and sent flying by a crazed horse for no apparent reason.

Penelope's complexion was particularly bad. If this horse really rushed to that slope full of rubble, the consequences would be unimaginable!

She pulled hard on the reins, but this not only failed to stop the horse from running wild, but also made its actions even more frantic.

Several times, Penelope felt that she was about to be thrown off the horse.

The horse suddenly reared up, its entire body leaning back. Had Penelope not been holding onto the reins tightly, she would have surely been thrown off.

The slope was right in front of her. Just when she thought the horse would continue to go mad, Zackary suddenly appeared before her, firmly grabbing the horse's reins. With his flesh and blood body, he stood in front of the horse, preventing it from going mad any further.

Of course, the horse couldn't stand being interrupted while it was running smoothly. It gathered all its strength and fiercely kicked Zackary right in the chest.

A sweet, metallic taste instantly filled Zackary's throat, but out of fear for Penelope's safety, he still held onto the reins tightly.

Fortunately, at that moment, several brave staff members gathered around. Together, they tied the crazed horse to a tree, preventing it from hurting anyone further.

After dismounting from the horse, thinking about everything that had just happened, Penelope was still shaken.

She didn't want to pay attention to Zackary, but considering that he had saved her just now, and he had been kicked by a horse, she was a bit worried. She softly spoke, "Mr. Spencer, thank you for earlier! Are you, okay?"

Zackary treated Penelope as if she were an insignificant passerby, not even sparing her a glance as he coldly turned around and walked towards the rest area.

Still so arrogant, he must be fine now.

Zackary was ignoring everyone, and Penelope wasn't about to throw herself at him. She turned around and followed the staff to the makeup room for a touch-up.

"Boss, how are you? Are you okay?" The kick from that horse just now was no joke. Seeing his boss forcing himself to be strong, Samuel was extremely worried.

On his way here, he was wondering why the boss would suddenly take a fancy to visit Ms. Hilliard's class. Turns out, Ms. Sullivan was also in this crew.

Zackary opened his mouth, but before he could speak, a large amount of bright red blood gushed out from his mouth.

"Boss!"

Samuel and several staff members all looked extremely anxious, but Zackary didn't want Penelope to know that he had coughed up blood in his efforts to save her. After calming himself, he spoke with a blank expression, "I'm fine!"

"Boss, you towards Ms. Sullivan..."

Zackary didn't want Penelope to think he cared about her, and he certainly didn't want others to think he did. He coldly interrupted Samuel, "I just don't want anyone in the crew to get hurt!"

The staff secretly admired Mr. Zackary's sense of responsibility, after all, the play was invested by the Spencer Group. Samuel, however, subtly grimaced.

If someone else had been on the horse today, it would have been strange if the boss had intervened!

He probably wouldn't even frown if that person had been killed by a horse fall!

Lola had also noticed this scene. She had been hoping for Penelope to die in this deliberately designed danger. However, to her surprise, he had actually risked his life to save her!

The situation was so dangerous just now, did he realize that? He rushed out like that, he could have been the one who died!

Lola was so furious that she was grinding her teeth, but seeing Zackary coughing up blood, she felt even more heartbroken.

She ran all the way to him, crying so hard she could hardly breathe, "Zackary, how are you? Does your chest hurt?"

Zackary, however, didn't even glance at her. Instead, he coldly addressed Samuel, "A horse doesn't go mad without reason! Find out who tampered with this horse!"
