Chapter 215 Linda, A Debt Paid in Blood!

She, was filled with resentment!

"I didn't hurt Linda! Never did!" Corona gritted his teeth and roared, "Mr. Burke, you're blind! Your eyes are blind, but your heart is even blinder!"

Seeing Corona so unrepentant, the last bit of softness in Devon's heart completely disappeared.

With a calm and sharply defined handsome face, he commanded, "Pour all the medicine down her throat!"

Corona didn't want to drink, but they held her so tightly that she couldn't even vomit.

Moreover, that medicine was really hot, so hot that it numbed her tongue.

In the end, her brain seemed to have numbed, she had already forgotten how deeply she had once loved Devon. In her heart, all that was left for him was a deep-seated hatred!

That large bowl of medicine was really too much. It took nearly twenty minutes to pour it all down her throat.

After taking those medicines, Corona's stomach hurt hysterically. It was unclear whether it was due to overeating or the effect of the medicine.

Devon's phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the screen, picked up the phone, and went outside to answer the call.

After the two bodyguards had completed their task, they had already gone outside. At this point, in the spacious sickroom, only Corona and Linda were left.

"Corona, after your death, your grandmother's medicine had already run out," Linda, lying on the bed, suddenly spoke with a lingering smile.

"Linda, what did you say?"

"Corona, your grandmother is dead! It was me who made Devon stop her medication. She was seriously ill and incurable, with only one way to death!"

Linda sat up from the bed, her eyes filled with malice. "Corona," she said, "from now on, Devon and I can no longer threaten you with your grandmother. Are you happy now?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you about the time of your grandmother's death. Your grandmother died three days ago, and her body was left in the small country cottage where she lived. Perhaps, it's already started to smell by now!"

"The caregiver told me that your grandmother, before she died, really wanted to return to her home country and see you one more time. Unfortunately, she couldn't make it back."

"Don't even mention her body stinking, even if it rotted or turned into ashes, her wish to return to her roots could never be fulfilled! She was destined to die in a foreign land, destined to never return to her beloved hometown, only to wander as a lonely ghost in an unfamiliar country!"

"Her tragedy, it was I, Linda, who facilitated it. But the real culprit, it was you, Corona. It was you who killed your only kin. It was you who made her unable to return home!"

"Linda!"

Corona abruptly lifted her face, her eyes instantly bloodshot. She had never felt such hatred before.

Even when her child was brutally murdered, when she fell into the hands of those four demons, with no way to survive, she had never hated this much.

Her grandmother had died!

The grandmother who loved her the most in this world had passed away.

From then on, no one would ever hold her in the palm of their hand, gently stroking her hair, saying, "My Corona, you are the best little princess in the world."

She didn't have a grandmother anymore!

The grandmother who had raised her single-handedly and on whom she had depended for life, could never come back. And she, she couldn't even bring her ashes home!

"Corona, did it hurt a lot?"

A resentful yet smug expression was on Linda's face, "It's right that you're in pain! I want you to suffer, you deserve to be in unbearable pain and wish for death for trying to steal my man!"

"Oh, by the way, I fired the caregiver during your grandmother's last few days. She was alone, unable to move, couldn't even speak, just lying in bed in despair, not eating or drinking, waiting to die!"

"To be honest, I really didn't know whether your grandmother died of illness, or of thirst and hunger!"

Upon hearing the news of her grandmother's death, Corona was already on the verge of collapse. Now, hearing Linda's malicious words, she completely lost control.

A person, unable to move, unable to speak, lying in bed waiting for death in solitude, how desperate that must have been!

Grandma, were you in a lot of pain? Were you very upset?

Were you blaming me, blaming me for not being by your side? For not accompanying you through the hardest journey?

Corona's stomach was in such pain that it felt like it was about to tear apart. But in that moment, she didn't know where she got the strength from. She actually managed to get up from the ground and even rushed to Linda, fiercely grabbing her hair.

Corona's eyes grew redder and redder, she could no longer see the scene before her, all that filled her eyes was an endless blood-red hell.

And her grandmother, such a good, good grandmother, struggled desperately in the bloody hell, unable to live, yet unable to die!

Why, when her grandmother died in despair and misery, could the culprit who caused her death still go unpunished?!

She demanded that Linda pay in blood for her blood debt!

"Linda, you killed my grandmother! I'm going to kill you, to avenge my grandmother!"

Once, Corona always believed that in this world, there was true fairness and justice, the cycle of fate, and that good and evil would eventually be rewarded and punished.

But then, she felt that the heavens were blind!

So many good people were senselessly killed, dying in despair, yet those filled with evil still lived on unscathed!

This wasn't fair!

Since the heavens couldn't grant her Corona fairness, then she would personally deliver herself justice!

Mustering all her strength, Corona grabbed Linda's hair and violently slammed her head against the wall.

Despite the blood seeping from her forehead, Corona still didn't feel satisfied.

Glancing at the bedside table to the side, there was a stainless steel cup. She grabbed the cup directly and fiercely smashed it on Linda's forehead.

Linda never imagined that the usually gentle Corona could be so terrifying when she got tough. She was in so much pain that her whole body was shaking.

However, the current situation, although beyond expectations, would only result in better outcomes.

Seeing the door of the ward open, Linda feigned a look of pain and helplessness and screamed, "Devon, save me! Corona is going to kill me! Devon, it hurts so much!"

"Linda, I wanted to kill you! Kill you!"

Whether Linda was pretending or truly in pain, Corona no longer cared. Now, she had only one thought in her mind - she wanted to avenge her grandmother!

Linda didn't die, grandma couldn't rest in peace!

"Bang!"

Corona's body was harshly thrown onto the ground by Devon.

Seeing blood seeping from the corners of Corona's mouth, his pupils involuntarily contracted, but upon seeing Linda's face full of scars on the bed, the pity in his heart was completely replaced by rage.

"Linda, how are you?" Devon tightly embraced Linda, whispering comfortingly, "Linda, I won't let you suffer in vain!"

"Devon, it hurts! It hurts so much! Tell me, what did I do wrong for Corona to hurt me like this over and over again?! She's my best friend! Why doesn't she want me to live?" Linda sobbed, looking utterly pitiful.

When Devon looked at Linda, his eyes were filled with endless tenderness. But when he looked at Corona, his sharp eyes were filled with nothing but deep shadows and disgust. "Corona, which hand did you use to hurt Linda?!"

"Not speaking, is it?! Fine, chop off both of her hands for me!"

The bodyguards came in with cold, gleaming knives. One of them, raising the knife in his hand, fiercely chopped down on Corona's hand.

The sharp knife, instead of chopping off Corona's hand, was tightly gripped by a somewhat cold-toned slender hand, blood dripping profusely.
