Chapter 345 Aunt Cornelia, Penelope was my real sister!

"My mom..." Ethan lifted his face to look at Cornelia, knowing full well that his father's family definitely didn't like him. But meeting her expectant gaze, he still spoke softly, "My mom's name is Penelope."

"Penelope?!" Cornelia couldn't help but exclaim in surprise. She really hadn't expected Ethan's mother to be Penelope.

Seeing Ethan nod, Cornelia's mind suddenly became a bit chaotic.

She did quite like Penelope, but the problem was that she was the girl Lyman liked. How could she end up with her own son?!

"It's so complicated," Cornelia felt her brain cells were a bit overwhelmed.

Although Cornelia had already confirmed that Ethan's father was Dylan, she still planned to ask Ethan. Before she could ask her question, her phone began to ring urgently.

Seeing that the call was from Lyman, she quickly picked it up.

"Aunt Cornelia, you finally returned home, I missed you so much."

"Lyman, how have you been recently? I've been missing you too."

Cornelia pondered for a moment, planning to subtly probe into his relationship with Penelope. She didn't advise her own son to forcefully intervene in their love, but after all, she was the mother of her eldest grandson. If they could reunite as a family, it would certainly be the best outcome.

"Lyman, how have you and Penelope been getting along recently?"

"Aunt Cornelia, I found that we really are in sync! I was just thinking about discussing Penelope with you!"

Lyman's voice suddenly became serious, "Aunt Cornelia, I have a favor to ask of you and Uncle Jayden. I want you to persuade my dad to have a paternity test with Penelope."

"Have Dalton take a paternity test with Penelope?" Cornelia expressed, somewhat unable to keep up with Lyman's train of thought.

How did we end up talking about Lyman again after all this rambling?

"Uh-huh!" Lyman nodded vigorously, "Aunt Cornelia, let me tell you a secret, Lola is not my real sister, Penelope is my real sister!"

"What?!" Weren't they lovers? How did they turn into siblings?! This is too fantastical, isn't it?

"Aunt Cornelia, I was also shocked when I first found out about this. But I really didn't lie to you, Penelope and I are indeed siblings. I've already had a blood relationship test with her, and the results showed that we are indeed siblings."

"I told my dad about this. You know how stubborn he is. Once he makes up his mind, he won't easily change it. He didn't believe a word I said, let alone willing to have a paternity test with Penelope."

The relationship between Cornelia and Chelsea was truly wonderful. Lyman had grown up by her side since he was a child. As for the character of the child she had raised herself, she couldn't have been clearer.

He usually seemed nonchalant and unreliable, but in fact, he was a sincere child who would never lie in front of his elders.

"Aunt Cornelia, I knew my dad would listen to Uncle Jayden. Could you ask Uncle Jayden to persuade him to have a paternity test with Penelope? If he really can't be persuaded, let Uncle Jayden knock him out and pluck a few of his hairs. When the paternity test results come out, he won't be able to deny it!"

"Lyman, don't worry," I assured him, "I will talk to your Uncle Jayden about this. If Penelope really is your biological sister, none of us can wrong her!"

Having received Cornelia's promise, Lyman was pleased.

Dalton's strength was truly formidable, anyone who fought him would only end up being beaten. However, every creature has its nemesis, Uncle Jayden's strength was even more formidable. With Uncle Jayden stepping in, Penelope's return to the Hilliard family was just around the corner.

Lyman still had an important matter to handle, he didn't say much to Cornelia, acted coy for a while, then he hung up the phone.

Having thought of something, after hanging up the phone, Lyman sent the electronic version of the blood relationship identification results he and Penelope had done before to Cornelia.

Looking at the appraisal report sent by Lyman, Cornelia couldn't snap back to reality for a long time.

The accuracy of the blood relationship identification results was not as high as that of the parent-child identification done by biological parents and children, but it was still pretty close.

But to convince Dalton, they still had to have him and Penelope undergo a paternity test.

Originally, Cornelia thought the idea of Penelope and Lyman being siblings was too fantastical. After staring at the report for a while, she couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Penelope and Lyman were siblings, which was really great!

In that case, Dylan from her family being with Penelope wouldn't be considered as stealing someone's love!

As for this imposter Lola...

After taking the medicine she had prepared, Chelsea would wake up before long. By then, she would surely make a decision.

The more Cornelia thought about it, the happier she felt. Suddenly, she realized she hadn't yet symbolically asked who Ethan's father was. She quickly turned to him with a warm smile and asked, "Ethan, your mother is Penelope, who is your father?"

Mentioning his father, a sense of loss instantly filled Ethan's thin little face.

He turned his face away stiffly, speaking softly, "I don't have a father."

Throughout her life, Cornelia weathered many storms and experienced so much!

How could she not see through the mind of such a little child!

Perhaps, Ethan did know his father. It must have been that his father didn't want him, or had hurt him, that he would say he didn't have a father.

It must have been Dylan who bullied that poor girl and then abandoned her. After the child was born, he shamelessly denied any responsibility!

The more Cornelia thought about it, the angrier she got. She even wanted to give Dylan a good beating!

However, on second thought, it might not be entirely because Dylan was too heartless. It could also be possible that, after a night of unexpected events with Penelope, he was momentarily unable to accept having such a big child.

Just needed to cultivate some feelings, right?

Cornelia admired her own intelligence immensely, she had to find a way to foster a relationship between Dylan and Penelope.

By then, Chelsea's daughter had become her daughter-in-law. She doted on her as if she were her own daughter, and she could hold her great-grandson every day. How wonderful!

Cornelia gently cradled Ethan in her arms, "Ethan, I am your grandmother."

Ethan's body was already stiff enough, but when Cornelia embraced him, his body became even more rigid, like a stone.

He lifted his face somewhat slowly, bewildered and nervous, "You... you don't hate me, do you?"

"That person said, I am... I am an annoying, stupid cripple. Don't you think I'm stupid?"

Ethan's voice grew lower and lower, the inferiority on his little face becoming more and more evident, "I... I am a cripple."

After hearing Ethan's words, Cornelia's tears fell with a plop.

So, that bastard Dylan had actually bullied his own grandson!

Ethan, being disabled, had already endured much injustice and ridicule. How heartbroken he must have been when his own biological father spoke to him in such a way!

The more Cornelia thought about it, the more upset she became. She held Ethan even tighter, "Ethan, you're not stupid, you're the best child in the world! Grandma loves you!"

Upon hearing Cornelia confess her affection for him, a star-like sparkle instantly lit up in Ethan's previously dull eyes.

Cornelia only felt that her entire world had lit up.

After returning from the castle, Cornelia went straight to her small apartment.

She had just walked in the door when she received a strange phone call. She never could have imagined that the person calling her was Zackary's mother, Cornelia.
