Chapter 277 Selling Penelope to Mr. Murray!

Seeing Lyman about to call Justin, Penelope quickly stopped him, "Don't call him!"

"Why?" Lyman asked, a clear confusion evident on his baby face.

"Lyman, I wasn't trying to stir up trouble between you and Justin, there's just something he did that I can't understand. When you had that car accident, he brought me what he claimed were your ashes, making me believe that you were gone."

"What?!" Lyman exploded in anger, "That little punk Justin actually dared to deceive you like this! Watch how I teach him a lesson!"

"But Penelope, don't be mad at him, it must have been me... it must have been our dad! He deliberately made Justin do that, he just wanted to break us up!"

Penelope didn't know what Justin's real purpose was when he gave her the urn, but she knew that he had a life-and-death relationship with Lyman. He could deceive her, but he would never harm Lyman. She had already warned him, and he was not stupid, he would definitely be on guard in the future. There was no need for her to keep holding onto Justin.

Fearing that Penelope might not be at ease, Lyman did not entrust Justin with the task of conducting the blood relation identification.

The private hospital that Edward had recently opened could conduct paternity tests, and moreover, the accuracy rate was exceptionally high.

He had the nurse come over to draw blood from him and Penelope, all the while watching the doctor's tests, fearing even the slightest mistake.

The technology of this hospital was particularly advanced, and by the next morning, the results of the blood relationship identification had already been released.

The genetic testing report showed that Lyman and Penelope's mitochondrial DNA genes were identical, leaving no room for doubt, they had a very close blood relationship!

Lyman held the report in his hands, lost in thought for a long time.

Penelope was also staring blankly at the report. Hearing it from Lola was one thing, but now, with the final results in front of her, the feeling was something else entirely.

Lola, indeed, had taken away her loved ones!

Penelope despised Lola intensely, but there were some things that she gradually came to terms with.

Once, Myra and Isaiah Sullivan's unconditional favoritism towards Lola really upset her, especially when Chelsea got hurt. Myra pushed her to the brink, leaving her heart in utter desolation.

It was clear now, she understood, she was not her mother. Therefore, no matter how badly she treated her, she was not a child abandoned by her mother.

Dalton and Chelsea were her biological parents.

Thinking of Dalton, Penelope couldn't help but feel a bit sad again. She subconsciously glanced at her left wrist, which was wrapped in a bandage.

Her biological father didn't like her either, he even wanted her to die!

It seemed, she was still an unloved child.

Lyman's gaze involuntarily fell on Penelope's left wrist. Thinking of the good things Dalton had done for her, he angrily threw the appraisal report in his hand, jumping up high.

"That's outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! That old fool Dalton, he actually dared to bully you like this! Just wait until our mom wakes up, I'll see to it that she gives him a lesson!"

"Yes, kneeling on keyboards and washboards is too childish! I must tell our mother to make him kneel on durians!"

Thinking of Dalton, high and mighty, kneeling on a durian and apologizing to Chelsea with a pleasing look on his face, Penelope couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Lyman truly had a magical charm about him. Originally, she was feeling quite upset, but after hearing his words, she suddenly didn't feel upset at all.

Just expected to see Dalton kneeling before the durian.

She had to live well, she was still waiting for Chelsea to wake up, to make Dalton kneel on durians!

Seeing Penelope laugh, the smile on Lyman's face became even more radiant. Now, he couldn't wait to throw this report in his old man's face, to see how he would react!

However, with Penelope alone in the ward, he was uneasy, and he had to temporarily suppress this impulse.

He simply looked at Penelope with a face full of joy, a brother looking at his sister, finding her more pleasing to the eye the more he looked.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt he had suffered a great loss. His own sister was beautiful and adorable, like a little fairy. How could he have considered Lola, that old witch, as his sister for so long!

Lyman surreptitiously rolled up his sleeves. Since that old witch Lola had no blood relation to him, he wouldn't need to show any mercy when tormenting her in the future!

Just as Lyman was about to give in to the temptation to throw the appraisal report in Dalton's face, Everett and Dawson arrived.

During his time in the hospital, Lyman also learned some things about Penelope and Everett from the information passed on by his subordinates.

He might not have been sure about other things, but when it came to Everett pursuing Penelope, he understood it very well.

He and Everett were both die-hard fans of Dylan when they were kids, and they had a pretty good relationship. Moreover, he particularly admired his self-discipline, thinking that he was not like the big playboy Zackary, who was always clinging to his girl Penelope and showing off his love with Lola all day long.

Lyman lifted his eyelids, scrutinizing the precious and elegant Everett with the kind of feeling a younger brother-in-law has for his elder brother-in-law, finding him pleasing to the eye no matter how he looked.

Lyman's gaze towards Everett became increasingly gentle, and ultimately, it even had a somewhat affectionate feel to it.

Mr. Dawson, the senior special assistant, who had excellent observational skills, couldn't help but feel a jolt in his heart when he saw Lyman's small eyes shaped like hearts.

He had always known that his boss was extraordinarily charming and irresistibly attractive. However, what he hadn't expected was that not only women, but also... men were captivated by the boss!

The information he received was that Mr. Lyman had been pursuing Ms. Sullivan, wasn't it? So why, upon seeing the boss, did he act like a little puppy that had just seen a bone, as if he couldn't wait to pounce?!

Could it be that his eldest was more charming than Ms. Sullivan, causing Mr. Lyman to fall for her irresistibly?!

The charm of the eldest in his family was truly terrifying!

Dawson swallowed weakly, fearing that Lyman's ill intentions towards their boss would tarnish the boss's good image in Penelope's heart, leading her to mistakenly believe that the boss was also gay.

He resolutely shielded Everett, sternly addressing Lyman, "Mr. Lyman!" I won't allow you to harbor any inappropriate thoughts towards our eldest!

However, when Dawson thought of the powerful Hilliard Group behind Lyman, he instantly became submissive, his righteous indignation turning into obsequiousness, "Mr. Lyman, what do you think of the clothes I'm wearing today? Don't I look handsome?"

Lyman shifted his gaze from Everett, looking at Dawson with a complex expression. Everett was impeccable in every aspect, but it seemed that the assistant he had chosen was not very bright!

I hope the problem of being unintelligent isn't contagious!

Mr. Dawson, the senior aide, could never have imagined that his loyal and protective behavior would be interpreted as being not quite right in the head. If he knew what Lyman was thinking, he would surely be spitting blood!

As Dawson was anxiously waiting for Lyman's response, Lyman suddenly passed by him and cheerfully grabbed Everett's arm.

"Everett, what did you think of my sister Penelope?"
