Chapter 10 Send Her Into Prison

"Why did you hurt Chelsea? Why? You must pay for this. I will kill you!"

Dalton was famous for loving his wife in the whole Sea City. When he saw his beloved wife become like this, he lost his ration. He used such great force that he almost broke Penelope's neck.

"It wasn't ... me..."

Penelope was in so much pain that she couldn't even breathe. She managed to say, "It... It was Lola..."

"Lola?" Dalton's eyes turned red. "Lola is the daughter of me and Chelsea. How could she hurt Chelsea? You should die!"

Penelope couldn't understand why Lola wanted to kill Chelsea. When she thought that she was about to be strangled to death by Dalton, Zackary suddenly said, "Dalton, Chelsea is still breathing!"

"What?" When Dalton heard Zackary's words, he wasn't in the mood to deal with Penelope any longer. He picked Chelsea up, called for the doctor in a loud voice, and rushed out crazily.

Myra and Lola were shocked. They looked at each other and then calmed down.

Even though Chelsea was still alive, they had multiple ways to let her mute forever.

Penelope greedily breathed. Before she could return to normal, Zackary rudely grabbed her chin.

"Say it! Why did you hurt Chelsea?"

Zackary was usually a cold and indifferent person. But Chelsea watched him grow up. To him, Chelsea was like his mother. Once he was told that Penelope hurt Chelsea, he wished that he could kill her.

"I told you! It wasn't me! It was Lola. She hurt Mrs. Hilliard."

Lola wiped her tears pitifully. "It was my fault. Mom became like this because of me. She just wanted to save me. If anything happens to Mom, I will kill myself."

Zackary looked at Lola with pity. "Lola, it wasn't your fault. Penelope is too vicious. She deserves to die."

When Myra, who was standing aside, heard what Zackary said, she suddenly knelt on the ground.

"Mr. Spencer, please let Penelope go. She didn't mean that. She must have done that out of impulse. She wanted to kill Lola and Mrs. Hilliard tried to protect Lola. That was why she crazily stabbed Mrs. Hilliard with a knife."

Myra turned around and held Penelope's hand with tears. "Penelope, just tell Mr. Spencer the truth. Although you hurt Mrs. Hilliard, Mr. Spencer is your husband. He will help you."

"Mom, what are you talking about?" Penelope looked at Myra with disbelief. "I didn't hurt Mrs. Hilliard. Why do you have to help Lola frame me? Mom, I'm your daughter!"

Myra looked at Penelope with regret. "Penelope, you are my daughter, so I can't see you make mistakes again and again."

Zackary sneered, looking fierce. The cold lights in his eyes fell on Penelope like sharp knives. "Penelope, do you still want to argue?"

"Zack, I didn't hurt Mrs. Hilliard!" Penelope hurriedly shook her head. "She's lying!"

"Penelope, don't tell me that your mother is lying to frame you." Zackary smiled with mockery, "She's your biological mother! I don't believe that she will frame her biological daughter."

Penelope suddenly lost the desire to justify herself when she heard Zackary's words.

Yes, Myra was her biological mother. Even she didn't believe that her own mother would push her into hell.

People always said that all mothers loved their children. But her mother wanted her dead.

How ridiculous!

"Penelope, you have nothing to say, right? Since you dare to hurt Chelsea, I will let you stay in prison for the rest of your life."

Zackary wasn't just scaring Penelope. He really sent her to prison personally. Green Mountain Prison was a prison in Sea City. It was known as hell in the mortal world.

Penelope had to collect money for Ethan's surgery. She didn't want to spend the rest of her life in prison. She explained and knelt to beg Zackary, but he was still not moved.

Right after Penelope was sent to prison, she was beaten hard. She was weak and ill. After being beaten, she couldn't even stand up.

She lay on the ground like mud. She wished that she could just die like this.

But once she thought of Ethan, who was still terribly ill in the hospital, she managed to open her eyes wide.

Ethan still needed her. She had to collect money and pay for his surgery. If she died, Ethan would also die.

So, no matter how difficult it was, she had to survive.

She waited for a miracle to appear that Chelsea would wake up and clear her. After waiting in prison for one week, she still didn't get the news that Chelsea woke up, but Lola came to visit her.
