Chapter 163 Let Ethan Die Again!
Penelope's last name was Sullivan.
The familiar people around her mostly called her Penelope, but Kemp always called her Penny.
A few days before leaving the dungeon, Kemp had told Ethan that he liked to call Penelope "Penny" because this name represents new beginnings, the start of a new chapter, and a fresh start.
Ethan was young, and he didn't fully understand what Kemp was saying. But even so, he knew that in Uncle Kemp's heart, his mother was the one and only Penny!
His Uncle Kemp couldn't possibly just casually call another person Penny again!
Now, he called someone Penny, he must have been fooled!
Ethan became more and more anxious, "Uncle Kemp, she must be a bad person! If you don't believe me, you can ask my mom, she is the real Penny!"
"Ethan, stop talking," she said. "If you keep going like this, Kemp will definitely get angry."
Pennie put on the facade of a caring aunt, gently holding Ethan's hand. She lowered her head, speaking in a voice only she and Ethan could hear, "Ethan, Kemp hates you, and he hates your mother Penelope even more."
"Did you know why he hated your mother Penelope so much? Because Penelope was lowly, shameless, promiscuous, and flirtatious. Even a glance from Kemp at her was enough to make him feel disgusted!"
"Evil woman!" Ethan couldn't stand anyone speaking ill of his beloved mother. He tried to shake off Pennie's hand, but couldn't. In his anxiety, he grabbed her hand and bit it hard.
"Ah ah ah!"
Pennie's heart-wrenching scream echoed in the air. Kemp heard the sound and hurriedly got out of the car, but he was still a step too late.
Pennie's high heels wobbled, and she fell heavily to the ground, her head hitting a stone pillar hard.
Pennie exerted herself to the utmost, so much so that the back of her head started bleeding instantly, causing her so much pain that she began to question her life.
When Penelope arrived, this was the scene she saw: Pennie collapsed weakly on the ground, and Kemp, like a madman, rushed over and tightly embraced her.
Ethan stared blankly at his own hand. Just now, in his panic, he had indeed bitten the back of Pennie's hand, but he really hadn't pushed her. He didn't even know how she had suddenly fallen against the stone pillar.
"Penny, how are you?" Kemp looked at Penny's little face with heartache, "Penny, are you in a lot of pain now?"
"Kemp, it hurts so much..." Pennie was in so much pain that she couldn't even open her eyes. But even in such pain, she didn't forget to act, "Kemp, I was really afraid that his antics here would upset you. I wanted to persuade him to go back to his mother, I didn't expect him to suddenly go crazy."
"I shouldn't have worn high heels today. If I hadn't worn them, I wouldn't have been so easily knocked over by a child."
Pennie took a while to calm down before she could barely open her eyes. The moment she did, she was so frightened that she began to question her life.
Before her, it was pitch black, so dark that she couldn't see her hand in front of her face. She couldn't see anything at all!
"Kemp, did the lights in the parking lot go out? Why has it suddenly become so dark?"
Kemp paused, but he still spoke truthfully, "Penny, turn on the light now."
Originally, Pennie could still deceive herself into thinking that the power had suddenly gone out. But now, after hearing Kemp's words, her emotions completely collapsed.
She rubbed her eyes frantically, yet the darkness in front of her remained as deep as a black hole.
Originally, she really just wanted to frame Ethan, to provoke Kemp into action, to torment Ethan as ruthlessly as chopping off Penelope's little finger.
She never could have imagined that, due to a series of unfortunate events, her fall would result in her losing her sight!
"Kemp, I can't see! Kemp, I can't see anything! Kemp, I've become blind, what should I do? Kemp, I don't want to be blind, I really don't want to be blind!"
"Penny......"
Kemp reached out his hand, waving it in front of Pennie. Indeed, her eyes didn't even blink.
Pennie, truly, had gone blind.
Penelope held Ethan tightly in her arms. She knew Ethan's nature better than anyone else, he couldn't have knocked Pennie down without reason.
Moreover, Ethan was much weaker than the average child, he simply did not have the strength to knock down an adult.
Penelope thought that Pennie blinding herself was utterly self-destructive.
But she also worried that Kemp might hurt Ethan because of Pennie.
She had experienced Kemp's brutality. Just because of a word from Pennie, he had cut off her little finger. And now, with Pennie truly blind, how would he torture Ethan?!
Penelope held Ethan even tighter, she absolutely wouldn't allow Kemp to harm her Ethan!
"Kemp, it hurts, it hurts so much..."
After a brief breakdown, Pennie also gradually calmed down.
Being blind was not an incurable disease. Perhaps, this time, it was an opportunity, an opportunity for Penelope and Ethan to completely disappear!
"Penny, don't be afraid, I won't let anything happen to you! I definitely won't let anything happen to you!"
When Kemp was coaxing Pennie, he was gentle and patient. But when he lifted his face to look at Penelope and Ethan, there was nothing left in his eyes but icy coldness.
His gaze, like a knife, swept across Ethan's face, and finally, landed on Penelope's face.
"Penelope, is this, your, deceased child?"
Before Penelope could speak, Kemp began to utter each word, "Indeed, he should have died long ago!"
"Penelope, I don't know why you insist on playing the virtuous woman in front of me while making every effort to get close to me. I have no interest in figuring this out. All I know is, this time, if anything happens to Penny, I will make sure you, this child, die again!"
"Don't worry, this time, I will definitely make sure he dies completely. There absolutely won't be any mistakes that would allow him to come back from the dead!"
After saying this, Kemp carefully picked up Pennie and started walking towards the Lamborghini.
Pennie was still helplessly shedding tears, "Kemp, it hurts, it really hurts."
"Penny, I'm taking you to the hospital right now! I will find you the best doctor, I won't let you suffer any harm!"
"Kemp, can I ask you for a favor?" Pennie pleaded, tugging at Kemp's sleeve. "Please don't hurt Ethan. After all, I've made mistakes in the past too. I owe Penelope an apology. Kemp, this time, can you just consider me unlucky? Please don't hurt Ethan and Penelope."
"Penny, you are my woman. If you hurt others, I will protect you. But if anyone dares to harm you in the slightest, I, Kemp, will make them regret ever being born!"
"Uncle Kemp, it was her who was framing me, I didn't push her!"
Ethan's face, which was always filled with radiant sunshine, had become incredibly serious. He pursed his lips tightly, meeting the bone-chilling coldness in Kemp's eyes, then spoke, "Uncle Kemp, I have a recording! I recorded what she whispered to me just now! She's a bad person! She even spoke ill of my mom! She's deliberately trying to harm me!"
