Chapter 53 Zack, don't let Ethan die, okay?

It seemed that Lola had also been kidnapped by the kidnappers. Zackary stood on the top of the mountain with a cold demeanor. Clearly, he had come here to save Lola.

Lola and Ethan were held by the kidnappers at the edge of a cliff, and any slight exertion of force from their hands would have sent them plunging down the precipice.

"Ethan!"

Penelope looked deeply into Ethan's eyes, who was being held at the edge of a cliff by two burly men, and tears uncontrollably rolled down her cheeks.

Her Ethan, he looked even more haggard, but fortunately, there were no visible injuries on him. He probably didn't suffer too much at the hands of the kidnappers.

After all, Ethan was just a three-and-a-half-year-old child. No matter how smart or mature he was, he would be frightened when faced with extremely vicious kidnappers.

On his little face, there was a clear look of terror, but when he saw Penelope shedding tears, all the panic on his face was swept away, leaving only a deep sense of heartache and anxiety.

"Mom, don't cry!"

Ethan lifted the corners of his lips, his eyebrows slightly curved down, his little face looked extraordinarily bright and radiant.

"Mom, Ethan is fine, Ethan didn't get hurt at all! Mom, Ethan is doing so well, so well, Mom, don't cry!"

"Ethan, Mommy isn't crying," Penelope quickly said, not wanting Ethan to worry.

Thinking of the kidnappers' promises to her, she looked at them anxiously and blurted out, "I've already given you the money! Hurry up and release Ethan!"

"Mr. Spencer, have you made a decision? This child, and this woman, who do you want to live?!" The kidnapper leader pointed at Ethan, then at Lola, and spoke maliciously to Zackary.

Upon hearing these words from the kidnapper's leader, Penelope's face changed drastically.

She shouted at the kidnapper's leader excitedly, "Release Ethan now! You can't break your promise! You said that as long as I give you ten million, you won't harm Ethan!"

The kidnapper leader said without a blush or pant, "Yes, I promised you, as long as you give me ten million, I will ensure this kid is safe and sound. Look at him now, he's doing great, I didn't let him get hurt at all!"

"I simply entrusted his life and death to Mr. Spencer. As long as Mr. Spencer chose to let him live, he could live well and have a long life!"

"Mr. Spencer, who should die, this child or this woman?!" The kidnapper's leader laughed with full malice, making Penelope want to blow his head off.

"Let them go!" Zackary looked at Penelope with a complex gaze. He hadn't expected that she really wanted the ten million to save Ethan.

Last night, she went to Sunlight Snow to auction off her first dance. She must have really been at her wit's end!

But he had trampled her dignity under his feet like that!

Thinking this way, Zackary felt a pang in his heart, but the thought of Penelope degrading herself to such an extent to save that bastard, filled him with an indescribable rage.

"Mr. Spencer," I had said, "today, only one of them can survive!"

"Release them! I'll give you a hundred million!"

Zackary stared coldly at the gang leader. The powerful pressure he exuded made the gang leader involuntarily step back. But thinking of Lola's instructions, he steeled himself and spoke, "Mr. Spencer, I'll count to three. If by then you still can't make a choice, they both die!"

"One!"

"Zack, save Ethan! Please, save Ethan!"

Penelope, fearing that Zack would abandon Ethan for Lola, choked out, "Zack, I didn't lie to you, Ethan really is your flesh and blood! The paternity test was real, he really is your son! You can't let Ethan die! Zack, please, can you save Ethan?!"

In Lola's eyes, shimmered crystal clear teardrops. She looked at Zackary with a pitiful expression, "Zackary, don't worry about me! Save Ethan!"

"Even though my sister did many bad things to me, she is still my sister after all. Even if we had no blood relation, we grew up together after all. This bond that has been formed from childhood, can never be broken!"

"Zackary, I don't want my sister to be so upset, so Zackary, let me go! Zackary, I know you've been good to me, but if you abandon me for Ethan, I won't blame you, I really won't blame you!"

With a sudden force, the kidnapper's knife, which was pressed against Lola's neck, cut a large gash on her skin.

She couldn't help but cry out in pain, but the next second, she still managed to flash a charming and gentle smile at Zackary.

"Zackary, I'm not in pain, really, I'm not hurting at all. Zackary, please save Ethan. Ethan is just a child, he is more important than me."

Lola repeatedly urged Zackary to save Ethan, but Penelope knew, she wouldn't be so kind-hearted.

Zackary had always cared about her, the more she said such things, the more he would not give up on her.

"Two!"

Upon hearing the kidnapper leader's voice, Penelope's heart leapt into her throat.

She stepped forward, gripping Zack's sleeve tightly, "Zack, save Ethan! If you don't save Ethan, they will push him down!"

"Zack, you can't ignore Ethan! You can't ignore our child!"

"Three!"

The gang leader sneered sinisterly, "What's the matter, Mr. Spencer, haven't made a choice yet?!"

Penelope could no longer contain her fear. She fell heavily to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "Zack, save Ethan! Please, save him! Save our Ethan..."

Lola was still acting dramatically, "Zackary, speak up! Abandon me, choose Ethan! Otherwise, they will kill Ethan! Zackary, speak up!"

"I didn't allow you to hurt Lola!"

Zackary finally spoke up. Hearing his voice, the corners of Lola's lips uncontrollably lifted into a smile. However, Penelope's heart completely plummeted into the abyss of hell.

He wouldn't allow those kidnappers to harm Lola, so, her Ethan had to die!

No! She didn't want this kind of ending!

"Zack, save Ethan, please save Ethan..."

Penelope knelt on the ground, bowing deeply to Zackary.

Bright red blood seeped from her forehead, yet she seemed oblivious. All she did was repeatedly bow her head to him.

"Zack, please, I beg you to save our Ethan, please save him, I can't be without Ethan, I can't lose our Ethan..."

"Zack, please, I beg you..."

Blood, mixed with tears, dyed Penelope's small face a bloody red. She clung tightly to Zackary's wrist, as if it was the only life-saving driftwood in the vast ocean.

"Zack, please, I beg you to save Ethan, okay? As long as you're willing to save him, I'll do whatever you ask! Yes, I'll be your ox, your horse, your slave, your servant, I'm willing to do anything!"

"Zack, could you save him, please?"
