Chapter 338 Pennie, Disabled for Life!
"Penelope!"
Zackary and Everett cried out in unison, both wanting to catch the snake, to prevent it from biting Penelope, or, to bear the pain of the snake bite for her.
The snake was too fast, and by now, it had already started attacking Penelope. The idea of them catching it was simply unrealistic.
Without the slightest hesitation, Zackary and Everett simultaneously raised their arms, intending to block the venomous snake with their arms.
It was quite a coincidence that they both raised their arms at the same time without getting bitten by the venomous snake. Instead, with such a forceful push, they managed to fling the snake out of the door.
Hysterical screams echoed from outside the door. Kemp quickly stepped forward, fiercely gripping the deadly snake by its vital part, but it was already too late. The venomous snake had firmly bitten Pennie's left little finger.
Pennie was in so much pain that she questioned her existence. She never imagined that she would suffer such a sudden misfortune.
This venomous snake was secretly placed in Penelope's wardrobe by her.
She knew, she could have just stayed in her room, quietly waiting for Penelope's tragic death. However, she was too eager to witness the gruesome scene of her being bitten to death by a poisonous snake. Therefore, she couldn't help but hide quietly at the door of her suite to listen for any sounds.
The door to the suite was wide open, she could clearly see the situation inside. She saw Penelope enter the bedroom, she couldn't help but walk in, wanting to take a closer look at her heartbroken appearance.
She never would have thought that the venomous snake, instead of latching onto Penelope, would end up biting her hand!
"Ah ah ah!"
Pennie was in so much pain that her forehead was covered in cold sweat, "Kemp, it hurts! Kemp, save me!"
The director was immediately stunned by the situation. After he regained his senses, he quickly shouted towards the door, urging the doctor to come in immediately.
The doctor glanced at the subdued venomous snake, and his face changed drastically immediately.
"Mr. Kemp, this snake is too venomous, even with the antivenom, it's impossible to neutralize the poison! I'm afraid, by the time we get Mrs. Hunter to the hospital, she would already be gone! There's only one way to save Mrs. Hunter..."
"Save me! Save me..."
Pennie clutched her left hand in agony, tears streaming down her face in distress.
"Speak!" Kemp, seeing Pennie's painful appearance, his face had turned extremely ugly. Seeing the doctor's hesitation, he lost all patience, his voice terrifyingly cold.
"Amputate Mrs. Hunter's limb!"
Seeing Kemp's face turn terribly grim, the doctor shrank back, then began to speak in a trembling voice, "This kind of snake, the venom spreads particularly slowly in the first five minutes. If this golden period is missed, even amputation would only lead to certain death!"
"Amputation?!" A pallor spread across Pennie's small face. She didn't want to die, but she also didn't want to become disabled.
She shook her head desperately, "No! Kemp, I don't want to be amputated! Save me! Kemp, save me! I know you can save me! Save me!"
"Mr. Kemp, please make a decision quickly, otherwise, the consequences will be irreversible!" The doctor lowered his face, speaking cautiously.
Kemp also recognized this type of snake, he knew that the doctor was not exaggerating.
There were no miracle doctors around them, and even if there were, they wouldn't be able to get here within five minutes. The only way to keep Pennie alive was to cut off her bitten pinky finger.
"Amputate her limb!"
Kemp couldn't bear to see the girl who had accompanied him through the most difficult times being amputated, but to save her life, he had no choice but to make this decision.
"No!"
Pennie screamed heart-wrenchingly, her tears falling in large drops, "Kemp, don't! I can't become disabled, I really can't become disabled! Kemp, please save me, don't let me become disabled, okay?"
"Penny, listen to me, nothing is more important than staying alive. No matter what you become, you are still my Penny, and I will never leave you."
The venomous snake had already been dealt with by the crew members. Kemp stepped forward, uncharacteristically gentle, he pulled Pennie into his arms and comforted her softly, "Penny, the doctor will give you an anesthetic, it won't hurt. Once the doctor has treated you, everything will get better."
"No! I don't want to!" Pennie was still shaking her head vigorously. In her view, regardless of the pain, losing a finger was a lifelong disability. Penelope's disability was a crucial point that she held over her, she didn't want to become disabled like Penelope.
"Sorry, Mr. Kemp, we didn't bring any anesthesia with us! If we go to get it now, it will take at least twenty minutes, I'm afraid..."
The doctor didn't continue speaking, but everyone understood implicitly that Pennie simply wouldn't make it until the anesthesia arrived.
"No! No..." Pennie was shaking her head so hard it felt like it would break. She was just about to plead with the doctor not to amputate her finger when his anxious voice reached her ears, "It's bad! The poison has spread to her left ring finger!"
Pennie hurriedly lowered her head, indeed, her pinky had turned completely black, and the ring finger next to it was also faintly black.
She was in pain and sorrow, tears uncontrollably rolling down from the corners of her eyes. However, no matter how much she resisted the idea of having her finger amputated, she had to let the doctor proceed quickly.
Due to her brief resistance, she couldn't even save her left ring finger. If she continued to be stubborn, she might not be able to save her entire left hand!
Pennie hated, hated so much that her teeth ached.
It was all Penelope's fault!
If Penelope had obediently let herself be bitten to death by this poisonous snake, it wouldn't have rushed out to bite her, causing her to endure such terrible pain!
Penelope! Penelope!
Pennie gritted her teeth, screaming Penelope's name in her heart. In an instant, her entire heart twisted into a demon.
"Mr. Kemp, should I proceed now?" The doctor asked tentatively, pushing up the glasses on the bridge of his nose.
"Take action! Hurry up and take action!" Before Kemp could speak, Pennie shouted anxiously.
Having heard her say so, the doctor naturally didn't hesitate any longer. He quickly disinfected the sharp knife with alcohol and then ruthlessly chopped at Pennie's left little finger.
"Ah ah ah!"
The extreme pain almost made Pennie scream her throat raw. She would rather pass out from the pain than endure this unbearable torment. However, despite the pain being so intense that she felt she could hardly survive, her consciousness remained incredibly clear. No matter what, she just couldn't pass out.
After the little finger on the left hand was cut off, it was the ring finger.
Pennie was in so much pain that she was trembling all over. Even though Kemp was holding her tightly, she still collapsed to the ground in agony, convulsing uncontrollably in waves.
The doctor quickly took out the hemostatic medicine, stopped Pennie's bleeding and stitched up her wound. Pennie, like a fish out of water, was covered in cold sweat and weakly curled up on the ground.
The more it hurt, the more indignant she felt. She had already screamed until her voice was hoarse, but she still forced herself to speak, "Penelope, why are you doing this to me?! What have I done wrong for you to deliberately let a poisonous snake bite me?!"
