Chapter 255 Mr. Murray was a gigolo!
Kneel down?!
Penelope's brow twitched as she coolly looked at the slick and powdered Jeremy in front of her. A man who pursued girls with counterfeit bags, yet dared to make her kneel in front of so many people. Was he poisoned by reading too many overbearing CEO novels?!
With his attitude, he really thought he was a domineering CEO!
Penelope really wanted to pick up the dirt-covered knockoff bag and smash it hard on his face, making him recognize who she really was.
After hearing Jeremy's words, Zackary's already dark and handsome face looked even more unpleasant.
He despised Penelope to his core, but if anyone dared to bully Penelope in front of him, he still couldn't bear it!
He took a step forward, intending to push Jeremy into the mud for a good taste of it, when Everett's voice, heavy with authority, rang out in the air, "Who are you trying to make unable to survive in Sea City?!"
"Of course, it's this ungrateful woman!" Jeremy felt a bit uneasy under Everett's gaze, but he always cared about his reputation, so he certainly couldn't lose face in front of so many people.
He straightened his back, confidently addressing Everett, "What, you still want to stand up for this woman?!"
"You're nothing! Believe it or not, I can torment you too!"
"Mr. Crawford, he is Penelope's boyfriend, a nobody in the entertainment industry," Ashlynn reminded Jeremy.
Upon hearing that Everett was just a nobody, Jeremy became even more arrogant, almost to the point of grabbing a loudspeaker to announce how awesome he was!
"You're truly nothing!" Jeremy arrogantly glared at Everett, extending his middle finger disdainfully at him, "You, kneel before me! Otherwise, there will be no place for you in the entertainment industry!"
Penelope looked at Jeremy with admiration, she suddenly had some respect for the courage of this young Mr. Crawford.
Making the famous Mr. Murray kneel before him, was he tired of living, thinking his life was too long?
Although Jeremy was not as wealthy as he boasted, he indeed had some power in his hands. He was used to being domineering in Sea City, and everyone had to kneel before him. Yet, they showed no reaction at all. His face, which was covered with several layers of powder, turned the color of a pig's liver out of anger.
"What, not kneeling? Do I have to beg you to kneel?!"
"Kneel to you? You're not even worth it!" Everett spoke indifferently, casting a disgusted glance at the bag lying in the mud. "A counterfeit, inferior product. I really don't know who gave you the audacity to ask for five million."
"Counterfeit products?!" Jeremy's face turned even uglier, he glared at Everett and said fiercely, "Who said these are counterfeit products?! These are clearly limited editions worldwide! Open your damn eyes and see clearly! These are the latest limited editions launched by the luxury brand!"
"With your level of poverty, you wouldn't even come across a luxury brand bag in your next life! You might as well stop looking, even if you stare your eyes out, you wouldn't recognize such a precious limited edition!"
"Hmm, this bag was right in front of me, and I really didn't recognize it as a luxury brand bag. After all, luxury brands have never released such an ugly bag!" Everett spoke calmly, "The designer I hired, if they designed such an ugly bag, I would fire them directly."
"The designer you hired?! Ha! Who do you think you are?! Do you think you're Mr. Murray?! Hahaha!" Jeremy laughed exaggeratedly, "I don't believe Mr. Murray would look as stupid as you!"
"If you were really Mr. Murray, I would kneel before you and your woman, serving as a ball for you to kick around!"
"Boss, Director Guzman is here!" Mr. Dawson, the senior special assistant, ran over, panting heavily. Trailing behind him, also out of breath, was the design director of the luxury brand, Tristan Guzman.
Everett never accepted media interviews, so no one knew what he really looked like, but everyone recognized Tristan.
Tristan could be considered a genius in the field of luggage design. He made a name for himself at the age of fifteen, and even though he is not yet in his prime, he is already one of the leading luggage designers in the world.
In addition to his outstandingly handsome appearance, he was also willing to accept media interviews. There was no way that no one had seen his face on the scene.
"Director Guzman?!" Ashlynn has always been a loyal fan of Tristan. The moment she saw him, her eyes almost turned into heart shapes.
She stretched out her hand directly in front of him, "Director Guzman, how did you find the time to come here today? Could you please give me an autograph? All my bags are from luxury brands! I really admire you!"
Tristan, however, didn't even glance at the ingratiating Ashlynn. He mustered all his strength to rush in front of Everett before he dared to take a deep breath.
"Boss, you were so eager to have me come over, what were your instructions?"
Boss?!
Ashlynn was so shocked that her eyes were about to pop out. The onlookers at the scene were even more stunned, as if their worldviews had been turned upside down.
The boss of Tristan?!
Given Tristan's position in the Murray Group, there could only be one person who he respectfully referred to as the boss.
The new generation leader of the Murray Group, the renowned Mr. Murray.
"Boss?" Jeremy had also seen Tristan in magazines before. He was taken aback for a moment before he spoke somewhat stiffly, "Director Guzman, who are you calling boss? I didn't see Mr. Murray here with us!"
Tristan gave Jeremy a look as if he was an idiot, then turned to Everett and continued, "Boss, what can I do for you?"
Jeremy was so shocked that his mouth was wide open, almost big enough to fit an egg.
Such a cool Director Guzman, actually... actually called this nobody who can't even be considered an 18th-tier boss?!
Was there anything wrong with his eyes?
"Director Guzman, you must have mistaken, right?" Jeremy laughed dryly, "How could he possibly be Mr. Murray! He is just an unknown actor, he..."
"Yes, he is still the boyfriend of this little internet celebrity! This little internet celebrity has recently become popular, she must have made some money! He must be a gigolo kept by this little internet celebrity! Haha, Director Guzman, you are really hilarious, mistaking a gigolo for Mr. Murray. If this gets to Mr. Murray's ears...hahaha!"
Jeremy felt quite witty and humorous when he said this. He thought that everyone would respond to him. However, to his surprise, everyone around him looked at him as if he was an idiot.
Even Ashlynn, who had been clinging to him and trying to please him recently, subtly let go of his hand and maintained a short distance from him.
When Tristan saw that Jeremy actually dared to call Everett a freeloader and a pretty boy, he became so nervous that sweat beads formed on his palms.
The boss was so brutal and extremely hated women. If he was talked about like this, wouldn't he be furious and vent his anger on them, a group of innocent bystanders!
Tristan didn't want to get involved, he spoke nervously, trying to soothe his boss's anger, "Boss, don't listen to his nonsense, he might be crazy! Boss, you are wise and brave, talented and unparalleled, how could you possibly be a gigolo!"
Jeremy's small frame suddenly shuddered. That freeloader, was he really Mr. Murray?!
