Chapter 379 Zackary, You're Not Worthy of Penelope!

Penelope really didn't expect Zackary to burst in suddenly. Even though she had told herself countless times not to care about him anymore, to let him go like a fart, but after hearing his words, she still felt a bit embarrassed in her heart. Her already pale face couldn't find a trace of color.

People are sometimes really strange. Countless times they tell themselves not to care, but they still can't eliminate the influence that certain people have on them.

Watching Penelope's face instantly drain of color, Zackary felt a twinge of regret. However, the thought of her not wanting him, yet always going out of her way to attract other men, made it impossible for him to control his anger.

Especially when he saw the dazzling diamond ring on her left ring finger, he was so angry that he felt uncomfortable all over.

The blue diamond on the ring on her ring finger was really not small.

That was the engagement ring Everett had put on her, a ring that was clearly worth a fortune at first glance.

Everett really did care about her!

It was laughable, this fickle woman, who had just accepted Everett's proposal, then used unspeakable means to bewitch Kemp, making him work like a slave in front of her.

"Penelope, you really have no shame!"

Penelope's fingertips trembled uncontrollably. Fortunately, after being hurt by Zackary so many times, she had learned to put on a mask for herself, feigning calmness.

"Mr. Spencer, whether I have shame or not, whether I am noble or lowly, does it concern you? No, it doesn't! Since it doesn't, please refrain from barking nonsense in front of me in the future!"

"Penelope!"

This reckless woman actually dared to say he was barking wildly?!

He took a step forward, he was so angry that he really wanted to twist her neck. However, he knew clearly in his heart, no matter how ruthless she was to him, he could not hurt her. He simply stopped deceiving himself by trying to strangle her neck.

His gaze, as cold and sharp as a blade, was firmly locked onto her small face, "Say it to me again!"

"Mr. Spencer, everything about me, Penelope, has nothing to do with you! Please don't show up in front of me again!" Penelope said lightly, completely disregarding Zackary's anger.

"Hah!" Zackary sneered disdainfully, "Your affairs have nothing to do with me, Zackary, but they have something to do with Mr. Kemp, don't they?! Penelope, your hospitalization this time, is it another ploy to seduce men with your pitiful act? Penelope, you're truly disgusting!"

Zackary really didn't want to say this, what he actually wanted to say was, "Penelope, how did you end up in the hospital, where exactly are you not feeling well?"

But he didn't know why, whenever he saw her with another man, he couldn't help but lose his temper, saying things that hurt both others and himself.

"Mr. Zackary!"

Zackary's words were too harsh to bear for Kemp, who was holding a bowl to give Penelope a drink.

He put down the white porcelain bowl in his hand, stood up, his eyes as dark as ink jade, filled with obvious anger and dissatisfaction, "You have no right to talk about her like that! The person in the world who has the least right to talk about her is you, Zackary!"

"Apologize to her!"

"Ha!"

Listening to Kemp defending Penelope, the smile on Zackary's lips grew colder, "Mr. Kemp, your heart is truly fickle!"

"A moment ago, you were treating Pennie like a treasure, hating Penelope with a vengeance just to protect her. Now, what kind of spell has Penelope cast on you that you don't even care about Pennie anymore, and are so devoted to her?!"

"Selling her body? Selling her flesh? Yes, this was this woman's usual tactic to seduce men!"

Kemp was tense all over, he abruptly raised his fist and fiercely attacked Zackary.

Kemp hated himself for hurting Penelope, and he also despised Zackary's blindness to the truth.

In those four years in the dungeon, he and Penelope talked about everything. He knew better than anyone how much she loved Zackary.

If it wasn't for love deep in her bones, how could she possibly risk her life in such an environment to protect their child!

He loved Penelope, perhaps from the moment she held his hand in the dungeon, telling him to survive, to stand up, he had already fallen irrevocably in love with her.

He was envious and jealous of her deep affection for Zackary, but more than that, he wished that this silly girl would get what she wanted, and reconcile with the man she loved.

He just couldn't bear to think that after she had experienced all the hardships of the world and finally saw the light of day again, what she received was not the care and protection of the man she loved, but misunderstanding and trampling!

Zackary, he didn't deserve it!

Kemp's offensive was getting stronger and stronger. Zackary, having no particular masochistic tendencies, quickly stepped forward, meeting his offensive head-on.

Two equally formidable men, their skills so evenly matched that it was impossible to determine a superior in a short time. Both struck with ruthless precision, and soon, both of them had sustained quite a few injuries.

"Stop fighting!"

Seeing Kemp throw a hard punch directly at Zackary's chest, and Zackary not even attempting to dodge, instead throwing a hard punch back at Kemp's face, Penelope couldn't help but speak up to stop them.

The horse's hoof had just kicked Zackary in the chest, he was actually still feeling some discomfort there. After taking a punch from Kemp, a faint trace of blood seeped from the corner of his lips.

Seeing a hint of crimson at the corner of Zackary's lips, Penelope's brows involuntarily furrowed. However, recalling his unwavering distrust towards her, she eventually lowered her eyelids halfway.

Couldn't be foolish anymore.

Upon hearing Penelope's voice, Kemp and Zackary synchronously stopped what they were doing.

In Zackary's eyes, there was still a clear anger. He sneered coldly, sarcastically and disdainfully, "Mr. Kemp, sharing a woman with your deceased brother, you really have a heavy taste!"

"Mr. Zackary, what do you mean by that?!" Kemp asked, his face stern, speaking word by word.

"Literally!" Zackary paused before continuing, "Could it be, Mr. Kemp didn't know that Penelope was Ralph's woman?!"

"Impossible!" Lola and Ralph's good deeds from the past were crystal clear to Kemp after he regained his memory. How could Penelope, who hated him so much, possibly be with him!

"Mr. Zackary, I forbid you to speak of her in such a way! In this world, the person least qualified to defame her is you!"

"Ha!" Zackary laughed, his eyes devoid of any warmth. Look at how good this despicable woman was at bewitching people's hearts. Even Kemp, who despised her so much, couldn't bear to hear a single word against her.

"Mr. Kemp, if you don't mind the dirt and insist on treating a chicken like a treasure, be my guest!"

"Zackary, she wasn't a chicken!"

Noticing the pale trembling lips of Penelope, Kemp's heart ached as if it was about to shatter. He didn't want his beloved girl to be slandered like this, he couldn't help but speak out, "She was locked in the dungeon by Ralph for four years, she didn't even have time to hate him, how could she possibly be entangled with him!"

Before Zackary could scoff, Kemp continued, word by word, "Zackary, do you know how Ethan was born?!"
