Chapter 79 Penelope Clung to Him!

She, truly, could not recognize him anymore.

Penelope knew, she was doomed today. She closed her eyes in despair, quietly waiting for death to come.

In that instant, many, many images flashed through her mind.

There was a scene in the dungeon where Kemp gently cradled Ethan, soothing him with his magnetic and pleasant voice as he sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

There was a scene of Lyman walking towards her in the sunlight, holding her hand, and giving her a gentle, soft smile.

But in the end, all the images turned into Zackary's face, the face that embodied all her love and hatred.

Penelope found it incredibly funny. She had clearly told herself not to care about him anymore, yet unexpectedly, at the critical moment of life and death, the person she missed the most was still him.

The anticipated pain did not come, instead, a huge impact sound rang in my ears.

Penelope suddenly opened her eyes, seeing a big red sports car harshly crashing into Kemp's Lamborghini from one side.

Lyman.

After crashing into Kemp's car, Lyman quickly got out. He rushed to Penelope in three strides, taking two at a time. Seeing her in this state, his starry eyes were so red they almost seemed to bleed.

He wanted to hold Penelope tightly, but seeing the bloody wounds on her back, he dared not.

He was afraid that if he exerted even a little force, she would shatter in his arms.

"If you were even a bit of a man, you wouldn't have bullied a defenseless woman like this!"

"She deserved it!" Kemp looked at Penelope with obvious disgust in his eyes, "She repeatedly hurt my woman, she deserves to die!"

"Pah, pah, pah!" I spat.

Lyman kicked over another bodyguard in front of him, "Kemp, you brainless and blind fool, stop annoying me!"

"Your woman?! Pennie?! She's nothing! Just because of her words, my Penelope has become a terrible villain?! Who does she think she is!"

"Mr. Hilliard, please respect yourself!" Upon hearing Lyman dare to speak to Pennie like this, a deep frown creased Kemp's forehead.

"Penelope hired a thug to hit me, Penny, the evidence is irrefutable! She must personally pay for the sins she has committed!"

"Hire a hitman to bump into Pennie?" Lyman was so amused by Kemp's words that he laughed, "Penelope has been with me all day, where would she go to hire a hitman to bump into that woman?! Besides, Penelope has no grudge against her, why would she need to harm an insignificant passerby?!"

After hearing Lyman's words, Kemp looked into Penelope's eyes with increasing mockery, "Of course, she wants to climb up the high branch, a pheasant turning into a phoenix!"

Lyman gave Justin a meaningful glance, and understanding his intention, Justin proceeded to play a video on the tablet on the table.

This video was cut from surveillance footage, and the sneaky woman in it was clearly Pennie!

Usually, Pennie was always sweet and gentle in front of Kemp. Suddenly seeing her acting like a thief, disbelief filled Kemp's eyes.

What shocked Kemp even more was yet to come. Pennie was supposed to be in a high-end restaurant. After carefully looking around, she finally entered the private room in front of her.

The situation inside the box was also recorded.

Upon seeing the men in the box, Kemp's face turned pale instantly.
