Chapter 136 Penelope, Chelsea is your real mother!
Since she already knew her situation, Penelope couldn't be bothered to waste words with Lola anymore.
She didn't speak, and Lola didn't get angry either.
She continued to speak to Penelope, absorbed in her own world, "Sister, you wanted to ruin my face with sulfuric acid."
Lola reached out her hand, gently caressing her own face. Her expression seemed so soft, yet her eyes were filled with a terrifying resentment.
It seemed as if the demon, who feasted on human flesh, had seen the most delicious lamb, and was about to swallow it alive.
"Even though you didn't ruin my face, Zackary felt sorry for me! He was so upset for me that he wanted to torment you."
"Zackary said, 'An eye for an eye. You wanted to ruin my face, don't expect yours to remain unscathed! But don't worry, sister, I won't personally ruin your face. We are sisters, how could I possibly harm you?'"
"I kindly let your sick friends take over for you!"
An idea occurred to Lola, she quickly unzipped her backpack and pulled out a syringe filled with liquid.
She held the syringe, step by step, walking towards Penelope.
The upward curve of her lips carried a chilling malice, "Sister, do you know what's in this syringe?"
"The stuff in this syringe, it was Zackary who asked me to give it to you!"
"Zackary said, 'You're dishonest, always thinking of hurting me. So, he will make you completely crippled, paralyzed, so that from now on, you can't harm anyone ever again!'"
"Zackary was so good to me! Sister, were you extremely, extremely envious of me, being sincerely treated by Zackary?!"
"What a pity, in your next life, you won't have the fortune to enjoy Zackary's gentleness!"
After hearing Lola's words, Penelope's eyelashes couldn't help but tremble.
She had thought that if her revenge failed, she would be ruined by Lola and Zackary. But now, looking at the syringe in Lola's hand, she still felt a chill run down her spine.
In the end, she just wasn't brave enough.
She had a desperate courage, but couldn't calmly face becoming disabled. Moreover, she was bitten, hurt, and had her face ruined by a group of mentally ill people.
But, no matter how scared she was inside, she would never beg Lola for mercy.
She begged for mercy, but Lola would not show her any compassion. Instead, Lola would only become more triumphant, more rampant.
"Sister, I know, with your broken body, you don't have many days left. You're not afraid of death, but I don't believe that you're not afraid of being unable to move, lying in bed like a pile of rotten meat, counting every minute and second, slowly waiting for death!"
Yes, Penelope didn't want to wait for death slowly like a pile of rotten meat.
But, what could that have mattered?
She couldn't move at all now, almost as if she was paralyzed.
Actually, it was somewhat wasteful for Lola to inject her with this dose of medicine again.
"Sister, I'm going to give you the injection now. Enjoy these last few days before your death!"
Saying this, Lola lifted the blanket off Penelope and fiercely jabbed at her leg.
Penelope instinctively wanted to push Lola away, but she was held down by her. Her futile struggles had no effect at all.
She could only watch, wide-eyed, as the liquid in the syringe dwindled, until, finally, it was all injected into her body.
Lola contentedly pulled the needle out of Penelope's leg, her smile blooming as she looked at Penelope. "Sister, do you feel it now? How does it feel?"
When Lola said this, Penelope only then felt a burning pain in her legs and feet.
She attempted to move her leg, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't.
Only that kind of heart-wrenching pain, like dancing on the tip of a knife, or like being torn apart by countless knives, existed.
Watching the beads of sweat forming on Penelope's forehead, Lola's smile grew even brighter.
"Sister, even if you don't voice your gratitude, I know, you must really enjoy this taste!"
Lola casually tossed the syringe into the trash can, pulled her bag onto her back, and headed for the door.
When she got to the door, something occurred to her and she hurriedly turned back.
"Sister, there was something I kept forgetting to tell you."
"As a person, I am extremely kind. I don't like it when people die without understanding why. Sister, even if you die, I want you to be a ghost who understands."
"Sister, you must be wondering, why, when Chelsea is clearly my biological mother, I cruelly slashed her several times, and why, when Lyman is clearly my younger brother, I wanted to put him in mortal danger, right?"
Mentioning Lyman, some focus finally returned to Penelope's eyes. She glared at Lola hatefully and asked coldly, "Why?!"
"Because, well..."
Lola dragged out her words with ill intent, for the resentment in her voice was too heavy. Her voice, it sounded somewhat eerily distorted.
"Because, Chelsea was not my biological mother, and Lyman was not my real brother! I had no blood relation with them at all!"
"What did you say?!" Something in Penelope's mind was on the verge of surfacing, but before she could figure it out, Lola's voice echoed in the air again.
"Sister, you must have figured it out! The lost daughter of the Hilliard family is in the Sullivan family! If I am not the biological daughter of the Hilliard family, then their biological daughter can only be you, my dear sister!"
"Sister, do you remember, when you were in the dungeon, there was a time, those little thugs who were guarding you, pulled out a handful of your hair? He pulled your hair, it was to do a paternity test with my dad... oh, with Dalton!"
"Use my identity to do a paternity test with Dalton! You are the genuine heiress of the Hilliard family, using your hair, there will naturally be no mistakes!"
"Oh, that day, I attacked Chelsea because she accidentally overheard the conversation between my mother and me, and learned the truth about this matter! I, Lola, even if I don't have the blood of the Hilliard family flowing in me, I am the genuine golden phoenix! I absolutely will not allow anyone to destroy my wealth and glory, my bright future!"
"Sister, just wait here to die. Perhaps it won't be long before your biological mother, Chelsea, joins you down there!"
Hearing that Lola had already done so much harm to Chelsea and still wouldn't let her go, Penelope couldn't help but become somewhat agitated.
"Lola, I forbid you from hurting Chelsea again! Lola, your hands are stained with fresh blood, you won't die a peaceful death! Today, you'd better kill me, because if I don't die, I will make sure you end up ruined and penniless!"
"Penelope, I wouldn't kill you! Killing you would be so boring! I want to torment you slowly! I want you to die in the most disgusting way possible!"
"As for Chelsea... Ha! You, Penelope, really can't save her anymore! Penelope, after today, we will never meet again in this life! I wish you, go to hell!"
