Chapter 135 Mr. Spencer Felt Sorry for Lola
Zackary felt like he was truly going insane, as he actually wanted to give Penelope another chance after she had hurt Lola like this.
"Penelope, apologize to Lola!"
"Zackary, why should I apologize to my enemy!"
Penelope glared resentfully at Lola in Zackary's arms, "I should apologize to Ethan, Grandma, Corona, and Mr. Hilliard."
"I failed to kill Lola myself, to avenge them!"
"Lyman?" Zackary's brow furrowed so tightly it could almost kill a fly, "I've said it, Lyman was injured, it has nothing to do with Lola!"
Penelope felt as if a layer of fog had inexplicably appeared before her eyes, isolating her and Zackary and Lola in two separate worlds.
In the haze, she saw Zackary's lips move, but what he said, she really couldn't hear clearly.
She felt that talking to him was like playing the lute to a cow, but she still kept mumbling like sleep talking, her lips moving incessantly.
It seemed as if, only by continuously speaking, could she prove that she was still alive, that she still existed in this world.
"Mr. Hilliard is dead, he was killed by Lola! Just like Ethan, Corona, and Grandma, they were all killed by Lola!"
"Lola destroyed Ethan and Corona's graves, she also ruined Mr. Hilliard's ashes!"
"She made them restless, even in death!"
Zackary's frown deepened, Lyman was dead?
He was clearly lying perfectly fine in the laboratory built by the Spencer family, how could he possibly be dead?!
There were still ashes?!
Everyone was fine, where did the ashes come from?!
Zackary thought that Penelope must have really gone mad.
The blood on Lola's shoulder was flowing more and more, and her consciousness was gradually becoming chaotic. He didn't dare to delay any longer, so he called Samuel to handle the situation with Penelope, and then he quickly carried her towards Koenigsegg.
After Zackary left with Lola in his arms, Penelope could no longer suppress the metallic sweetness in her throat. She let out a sound and vomited a mouthful of blood.
The snow on the road had already formed a thick layer. The bright red blood spread out on the pure white snow, like a demonically red lotus blooming on the top of an iceberg.
When Samuel rushed over, this was the scene he saw.
Penelope lay motionless on the ground, a bright red blooming at her side.
Samuel was taken aback by the situation in front of him. Having followed Zackary for so many years, he was all too familiar with the love-hate relationship between him and Penelope.
He was afraid that if something really happened to Penelope, his boss would kill him. He quickly took out his phone and called Zackary.
The phone had just connected when Zackary's cold voice rang out from the other end, "Send Penelope to the mental hospital, and book me a ticket to Ostley immediately!"
After dealing with the urgent matter in Ostley and returning, the day he and Lola got engaged had arrived.
"Boss, Ms. Sullivan has fainted, she looks very..."
Zackary had already hung up the phone.
Samuel knew Zackary's personality. Since he didn't want to deal with Penelope, even if he called again, he would just hang up.
Anyway, there were doctors specialized in treating various diseases at the mental hospital. He had sent Penelope there, gave them a good explanation, and she would be well taken care of.
Samuel had sent Penelope to the best mental hospital in Sea City in terms of medical conditions.
He never expected that, in the evening, after he went abroad with Zackary, Lola quietly transferred Penelope to the darkest mental hospital in Sea City.
Green Mountain Hospital.
Green Mountain Prison and Green Mountain Hospital were the darkest entities in Sea City. Most of the mental patients admitted to Green Mountain Hospital were those abandoned by society.
Within the Green Mountain Hospital, the medical equipment was extremely poor, and the quality of the doctors was also very low.
The internal management of the hospital was chaotic, with many patients being extremely insane. Moreover, there were various factions among the doctors and patients, with the strong bullying the weak. People with no mental issues who entered were like lambs to the slaughter. Even perfectly healthy individuals would end up being tormented into mental breakdowns.
When Penelope woke up, it was already a day later.
Her head was not as heavy as before, but she still couldn't muster any strength in her body.
Both of her wrists were so numb with pain that she didn't even have the strength to lift the blanket off her body.
Penelope looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings with confusion, she really couldn't figure out where she was.
This room was quite dilapidated, somewhat resembling the communal dormitories in old factories depicted in old movies.
Something in the room had gone moldy, emitting a strong foul smell.
On such a cold day, the window was open, a cool breeze blew through, but it didn't bring any hint of freshness, instead, it brought a heavier scent of decay.
Penelope was severely weakened, she was already on her deathbed, yet in this unfamiliar environment, she still had a strong sense of unease.
"Is anyone there?" Penelope asked tentatively, but no one responded.
The wooden door was pushed open with a creak.
Penelope instinctively looked in the direction of the sound, only to find Lola walking in with a beaming smile.
Lola was wearing a bright red woolen dress, her lips painted with the same color lipstick. She looked radiant, showing no signs that just yesterday, she had been heavily stabbed in the shoulder.
"Lola, why is it you?! What do you want to do again?!"
Seeing the wariness in Penelope's eyes, the smugness in Lola's heart grew even stronger.
"Penelope, did you know what this place was?"
Before Penelope could ask, Lola spoke again in a low voice, "Penelope, this is the Green Mountain Psychiatric Hospital."
Upon hearing Lola's words, Penelope's face turned pale, thinking about those terrifying legends about Green Mountain Hospital. Even though she was usually calm, she couldn't help but feel a chill in her heart.
The Green Mountain Hospital in Sea City was an entity even more terrifying than the Big Bad Wolf. When children misbehaved in the past, parents would say, "If you don't behave, I'll send you to Green Mountain Hospital." This would surely scare the children into behaving.
Penelope had heard during her school days that a young woman, who had inadvertently offended someone, was sent to the Green Mountain Hospital by her enemies.
Three days later, someone found that woman on the small hill behind Green Mountain Hospital.
Her face, already scratched beyond recognition, was covered in various scratches and bite marks. Some areas were even missing.
When she went in, she was a sane person, but when she came out, she had completely lost her mind.
Seeing Penelope's already pale face turn even whiter, the smirk on Lola's lips grew even more wild.
"Penelope, did you know who brought you in here? It was Zackary."
"You hurt me, Zackary was heartbroken, he wanted you to pay the most severe price, so, he sent you to Green Mountain Hospital."
"Penelope, it was Zackary who sent me here today. Do you know what Zackary sent me here for?!"
