Chapter 118 He was unfaithful to her.

Penelope knew well of Pennie's bad nature. She knew that if she tried on the wedding dress again, Pennie would snatch it away using the same method.

So, she didn't plan to continue wasting her energy anymore.

Anyway, she was thin, she could fit into any wedding dress here. She had her eye on one, she decided to have the clerk pack it up later.

She was just about to take off that wedding dress when she suddenly felt a sweetness in her throat. She tried hard to suppress it, but this time, the feeling of vomiting blood was too strong, she couldn't hold it back.

She didn't want to show her vulnerability in front of these people. Covering her mouth, she hurriedly rushed to the upstairs bathroom.

As soon as she entered the bathroom, a large mouthful of bright red blood gushed out of her mouth.

Her stomach was in severe pain. Penelope pressed hard on the spot, but the sensation of pain was still increasing rather than decreasing.

Moreover, the blood in her mouth seemed endless, as if she couldn't spit it all out. She spat for quite a while, but the sweet and fishy taste in her throat remained.

After she finished vomiting, her legs were so weak that she could barely stand. She squatted on the ground for quite a while before she reluctantly grabbed the doorknob and staggered out of the bathroom.

She thought to herself, she had been messing around in the bathroom for so long, Zackary and Kemp, they should have already left. This time, when she went out, she finally didn't have to continue facing those flies and mosquitoes.

Who would have known, she had just come out of the bathroom, hadn't even properly washed her face, when she saw Kemp, shrouded in coldness.

Penelope really didn't understand why Kemp was blocking her here. She had already given her wedding dress to Pennie. Wasn't he satisfied?

Too weary at heart, Penelope had no intention of dealing with Kemp. She simply pretended not to see him and continued to walk forward.

"Penelope, how did you consider the suggestion I made?"

Penelope looked utterly confused. How could she not remember him giving her any advice?!

"Mr. Hunter, I have no idea what you're talking about. My time is precious, I can't afford to waste it with you. Please step aside, I need to leave!"

"Penelope, be my lover."

In Kemp's voice, there was a heavy hint of contempt, "Penelope, I know you want to marry into a wealthy family, but a woman like you, let alone the Hilliard family, even an ordinary wealthy family wouldn't let you in!"

"So, you've given up on the dream of becoming a phoenix, haven't you!"

Penelope's eyes welled up with tears. Indeed, the Hilliard family could not possibly accept her, but she didn't need the acceptance of the Hilliard family now. All she wanted was to propose to Lyman once, to wear a wedding dress, and to find him on the road to the underworld.

Still not having extricated herself from her own desolate sorrow, Penelope heard Kemp's voice again, filled with sarcasm, "How much did Zackary pay you? I'll offer double the price!"

"Kemp, you're overthinking it. I'm not interested in you. Even if you were to marry me in broad daylight, I still wouldn't want to. How could I possibly become your lover? I..."

"Ten million!" Kemp cut Penelope off before she could finish.

"Ten million a month!" Kemp paused, then continued, "Break it off with Zackary, tonight, I will have someone take you to the villa halfway up the mountain!"

Before Penelope could even open her mouth to refuse, Pennie's voice, so filled with sorrow it was almost sharp, echoed from the stairwell.

"Kemp, what did you just say?! You want to support Penelope?! Kemp, you promised, you said you would treat me well for a lifetime! How could you do this to me?!"

Pennie spoke, large tears rolling down from the corners of her eyes. Her appearance was truly the epitome of grievance, as if the whole world had let her down.

Kemp was taken aback, he had never imagined that Pennie would overhear his conversation with Penelope.

Just now downstairs, he heard Penelope say she was going to marry Lyman, he was absolutely livid. Later, he saw her in her captivating wedding dress, thinking about her marrying another man in that dress, he completely lost control.

So much so, he had forgotten about Pennie's existence.

Zackary and Lola also followed, a thin, cold sneer curling at the corner of Zackary's lips.

This flirtatious woman really never missed an opportunity to seduce, anytime, anywhere!

She was so capable that she could negotiate a sponsorship deal even when she just went to the restroom!

Zackary's fists clenched so tightly they creaked, his long legs striding forward. He wanted to give Penelope a harsh lesson, to make her understand who she truly belonged to.

He hadn't yet met her when a pair of warm, soft little hands tightly embraced him.

"Zackary, we haven't chosen our engagement rings yet, shall we go choose them now?"

Zackary suddenly snapped back to reality, he coldly glanced at Penelope. Now, Pennie was still here, he didn't believe that she would dare to flirt with someone else in front of Pennie!

Having confirmed that there would be no further incidents between Penelope and Kemp that day, Zackary turned around and was the first to go downstairs.

Lola closely followed Zackary down the stairs. As she approached Pennie, her steps faltered slightly, "Penny, don't be upset. I believe in Kemp's sincerity towards you. There must be some misunderstanding here."

"You also need to trust your man, don't act impulsively, giving others an opportunity to take advantage!"

"Penny, don't miss a good opportunity."

Having spoken these profound words, Lola, in her high heels, sashayed her way downstairs.

After hearing Lola's words, Pennie's mind became much clearer. She looked at Kemp with tear-filled eyes, "Kemp, I know you've been good to me, and I believe in your feelings for me, just like Lola said, there's a misunderstanding here, isn't there?"

Kemp was not a man who shied away from responsibility. Since Pennie had already discovered what happened today, he had no intention of continuing to hide it.

"Penny, I promised to treat you well for the rest of my life! No matter what happens outside, you will always be the only Mrs. Hunter!"

Pennie stumbled abruptly, she couldn't dare to think that Kemp would say such words in front of her.

No matter how he was outside...

Is this him admitting that he wanted to woo Penelope?!

He had taken Penelope under his wing, naturally, there would be a relationship between them. Sometimes, the love that is etched in the bones cannot be completely eliminated even under hypnosis. What if he fell in love with Penelope again? Where would there be a place for her, Pennie, in the Hunter family then!

"I disagree!" Pennie shouted until her voice was hoarse, "Kemp, I love you, my body and soul will be loyal to you, likewise, I need you to be loyal to me! Kemp, I won't allow you to be entangled with Penelope!"

"Penny, behave!" Kemp's brow furrowed, his voice tinged with heavy displeasure.

Hearing the coldness in Kemp's voice, Pennie's heart involuntarily skipped a beat.

She was so filled with hatred that she wanted to roar, she was so filled with hatred that she wanted to tear apart Penelope's face that bewitched everyone.

But she was never a fool, she knew, her hysteria would not win back Kemp's heart, it would only push him completely into Penelope's arms.

He still had her in his heart. She must seize the opportunity while he still believed that the person he deeply loved was her, and go all out!
