Chapter 340 Pennie, let's see how you turn things around!

Kemp saw that Penelope had no intention of picking up the knife in front of her to cut her own hand, his gaze was so cold it seemed as if he wanted to freeze the entire world.

"Unwilling to lift a hand?! What, you want me to personally chop off your hand?!"

Saying this, Kemp reached out and abruptly grabbed the cold, gleaming knife that had fallen on the ground.

"Holy shit! Kemp, are you sick?"

Seeing Kemp actually intending to harm Penelope, Lyman was so angry that he directly lifted his foot, trying to kick the knife out of his hand.

Kemp was very agile, he dodged flexibly and thus avoided Lyman's attack.

Zackary and Everett each grabbed one of Penelope's wrists, neither willing to let go, completely denying Kemp the opportunity to harm her.

Penelope was speechless at Kemp's indiscriminate behavior, and she was also extremely speechless at Zackary and Everett's relentless clinging to her.

She struggled hard, trying to break free from their grip, but both of them were like competing, neither willing to let her go first.

"She hurt me over and over again, Penny, and now, she has even caused Penny to be disabled for life. If I, Kemp, don't seek justice for Penny, am I still a man?!"

"Kemp, I didn't harm Pennie! I've never harmed her!"

Unable to break free from Zackary and Everett's grip, Penelope stopped struggling.

She lifted her face, looking at him as she spoke word by word, "Kemp, you weren't like this before. Even though you couldn't walk, at least, your mind was clear. You wouldn't be so confused, unable to distinguish right from wrong, black from white. And you certainly wouldn't be manipulated by others!"

"Kemp, you're convinced that I was the one who put the snake in to harm Pennie. Fine, even if I wanted to harm Pennie and I put the snake in the closet, how would I know that the moment I opened the closet, Pennie would just happen to be outside my bedroom?!"

"Just now, everyone noticed that Pennie didn't even come to the suite I share with Mr. Murray. I'm not a psychic, I can't predict the future. How could I possibly have known that this snake would just happen to bite her?!"

Kemp was left speechless by Penelope's words.

Just now, the sudden memory of his Penny being tormented by a snake in a small compartment filled him with such anger and heartache that he momentarily lost his sanity, failing to think deeply about this aspect.

No matter how much he despised Penelope, he had to admit that Penelope was right. She had no idea that Pennie would suddenly appear outside her room, she couldn't possibly have intentionally set a snake on her.

"Penelope, you just sent me a message! You asked me to come to your bedroom to find you! You said, there was something very important you needed to tell me!"

Tears streamed down Pennie's face. "There have been so many misunderstandings between us. I wanted to clear them up, so when I received your message, I rushed over immediately. But I didn't expect that a snake would suddenly dart out and bite my finger!"

"Woo woo..."

Pennie was sobbing uncontrollably, looking as if she was in unbearable pain. "Penelope, why are you doing this to me?! What have I done wrong that you keep hurting me?!"

"Penelope, what else do you have to say?!" Kemp's eyes locked onto her face with a chilling glare, "You really want to kill me, my Penny!"

Penelope was truly astounded by Pennie's shamelessness, she wanted her to produce the evidence of the messages she had sent her, but she knew in her heart that she was so cunning, she would definitely find a way to bluff her way through.

She could only, think of other ways.

"There was no surveillance in my bedroom, but that doesn't mean there wasn't any elsewhere in the castle! Director, could you please have someone pull up the surveillance footage? I'd like to see who exactly put a snake in my wardrobe!"

Penelope was actually still a bit nervous. Pennie wasn't stupid, she definitely wouldn't put a snake in her own wardrobe.

However, once she found the person who released the snakes, she always had a way to make him confess the mastermind behind the scenes.

The director had had this idea for a long time. After hearing Penelope's words, he quickly spoke up, "Penelope, rest assured, I will have all the surveillance from the castle brought out immediately!"

"Penelope, you don't need to worry, I don't think it's possible that you released the snake!" The director still had quite a bit of trust in Penelope. As he instructed others to pull up the surveillance footage, he didn't forget to comfort her.

After hearing the director's words, Penelope was truly touched.

After being moved, there was some indescribable sadness.

Richard had no personal relationship with her. Even a stranger who had a chance encounter with her was willing to trust her, to rely on her in life and death, and to go through the most difficult times together. However, Kemp, who had been through all this with her, was unwilling to give her the slightest bit of trust.

Tears welled up uncontrollably in Penelope's eyes. With her eyes reddened, she looked at Kemp, who seemed to be covered in a layer of icy coldness.

Now, he had gradually begun to regain his memory. However, because he hadn't fully remembered, he would experience memory confusion when misled by others.

When he remembered everything, recalled the times they had supported each other, and then thought about the harm he had inflicted on her, how sad he must have been!

"Penelope, I'll leave you speechless!" Kemp looked at Penelope with disgust, then lowered his gaze, carefully holding Pennie close, whispering words of comfort.

Soon, the suspect had already been identified.

Tonight, while Penelope and her group were dancing outside, a crew member in charge of props sneaked into the suite. In his hand, he was carrying a basket. Clearly, what was inside the basket was the poisonous snake that had just bitten Pennie.

"Holy shit! What a shameless act!" Richard saw that the person who put the snake in Penelope's wardrobe was actually one of his staff members. He was so angry that he even started swearing.

He shouted loudly, hastily ordering people to bring in this staff member named Derek.

"Derek, who told you to put a snake in Penelope's wardrobe?! Do you realize that you could have killed someone?" The director yelled furiously at Derek, "If someone dies on the set I'm in charge of, are you trying to ruin me?"

"Damn it! They actually dared to harm my Penelope, they're simply courting death!" The thought of the recent danger still made Lyman's heart pound wildly. He was so angry that he directly kicked Derek's face hard.

"I didn't! I really didn't mean to harm Ms. Sullivan!" Derek lay on the ground, looking terrified.

"No?!" Lyman jumped up in anger, "You put a snake in my Penelope's closet, and you dare to say no?! Are you asking for a beating?! Fine, I'll give you one right now!"

"Mr. Lyman, don't hit me, I really am innocent!"

Derek held his head, looking innocent, as if he had never hurt anyone before.

Seeing that Lyman had no intention of sparing him, he brutally punched and kicked him. He screamed out loud, "No! Ms. Sullivan, save me! I released the snakes according to your instructions, you can't ignore my life and death!"
