Chapter 6

A month later, the ballroom of a posh hotel was buzzing with energy for a lavish party.

Nelson and Olivia were center stage. Olivia, dressed in a cocktail dress, held their one-month-old son in her arms. The baby, noticeably smaller than most at his age, rested against her, but Olivia seemed eager to flaunt him like a trophy.

I sat in a dim corner, sunglasses on, waiting for the chaos I'd planned to unfold.

I overheard whispers from the guests.

"Wasn't Nelson's wife a doctor? She doesn't look like this one..."

"Yeah, his ex-wife was Anstey. She had this elegance about her. This one... not so much."

"Ex-wife? When did they divorce?"

"You didn't hear? They split after Nelson knocked up his mistress. His wife found out, and things got ugly."

"Ugly? Nelson and his mom physically attacked his wife, and she lost the baby."

"What? They were in the wrong and still had the nerve to hit her?"

"I saw the video online. Let me find it..."

The hospital scene from last month had gone viral. Nelson and Rosina were getting destroyed online, the public's anger pouring in. Nelson had spent a small fortune trying to bury the incident, threatening lawsuits against anyone who posted the footage. So not everyone knew the full story, but tonight, I had something else in store.

While Nelson and I were still tangled in a bitter fight over assets, he had the nerve to parade Olivia and their illegitimate child around.

But I had planned my revenge, and tonight was the night. I was ready to watch his world come crashing down.

On stage, cheerful children's songs played from the LED screen. Guests eagerly lined up to take pictures with Olivia. A woman who looked strikingly similar to her was right by her side, clearly her close friend.

Then, without warning, the music cut off. The screen flickered and switched to a surveillance video.

The room fell silent as everyone turned to watch, including Nelson and Olivia.

The video showed a living room. A man and a woman were tangled together on a couch, their lower halves blurred, but it was clear they were in the middle of a sex session.

It only took a moment for everyone to recognize the pair: Nelson and Olivia.

In the video, Nelson's voice rang out clearly.

"Am I better than Edmund?"

Olivia giggled and answered with a flirtatious tone, "Of course you are... But tell me, am I prettier than your wife?"

Nelson laughed, "She doesn't even compare to you. She's like a piece of wood. So boring!"

Gasps filled the room.

Nelson and Olivia's faces went pale. Rosina bolted toward the staff, yelling, "Turn it off! What are you doing? Turn it off right now!"

The screen went dark for a split second, but as Nelson began to relax, the video resumed.

This time, Olivia sat alone in the living room, chatting on her phone.

"He's filthy rich, a manager at a listed company. He buys me whatever I want. He's like a trained puppy, so obedient."

The voice on the other end asked, "Isn't he your husband's cousin? And doesn't he have a wife?"

Olivia laughed. "So what? His wife is always busy with work and never has time for him. And you know what's hilarious? He always asks me if he's better than my husband. Honestly, he's smaller than Edmund and barely lasts a minute. I think he's got some kind of problem! His wife's a doctor. I couldn't understand why she didn't fix him."

The room erupted into shock, and the tension was unbearable.
